Hogan Assessments worked with a leading pharmaceutical company to better understand how personality impacted sales performance. Results showed that sales representative personality predicted performance, such that sales representatives who met the Hogan profile were 2.5 times more likely to be rated as a strong performer (based on supervisor ratings, field sales incentive program scores, and critical skills assessments) compared to those who did not meet the profile. Also, after 1.5 years of using the profile, the company reported a 40% reduction in sales representative voluntary turnover.
